Unveiling "Twilight Masquerade": Newest Pokemon TCG Set Arrives in May!

The official reveal of our sixth Scarlet & Violet set is Twilight Masquerade! This set will prominently feature Pokémon introduced in The Teal Mask, such as Ogerpon, Bloodmoon Ursaluna, and Sinistcha, with the set name referencing the first two Pokémon.

Twilight Masquerade was initially mentioned last month and is scheduled to hit stores on May 24th, with prereleases set from May 11th to 19th.

Twilight Masquerade introduces Ogerpon wearing all her masks as Tera Pokémon ex. Additionally, our English set will debut Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti, while the Japanese set Night Wanderer will feature them as Pokémon ex, releasing in June.

The contents of Twilight Masquerade include:

  • 167 cards (excluding secret rares)
  • Six ACE SPEC Trainer and Special Energy cards
  • Seven Pokémon ex, including Bloodmoon Ursaluna, Scream Tail, Iron Thorns, Sinistcha, and three other unrevealed cards
  • Seven Tera Pokémon ex, including Magcargo (Fire), Greninja (Fighting), Dragapult (Dragon), and the four Ogerpon ex
  • 21 illustration rare Pokémon
  • 11 special illustration rare Pokémon and Supporter cards
  • Six hyper rare gold-etched cards
  • Over 30 Trainer cards

The set's description invites players into the land of Kitakami, where people and Pokémon coexist harmoniously with nature. Uncover the mystery of the masked Legendary Pokémon Ogerpon, encounter newly discovered Pokémon like Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex and Sinistcha ex, and witness the growing power of Greninja, Dragapult, and Magcargo as Tera Pokémon ex.

Twilight Masquerade is inspired by March’s Crimson Haze (66 cards) and April’s Mask of Change (101 cards). The Japanese release of Mask of Change coincided with the drop of Twilight Masquerade, marking a rare simultaneous reveal.

Notably, the 48 unique cards from Japan’s Battle Academy will not be included in Twilight Masquerade, ensuring the set remains focused and avoids overcrowding with simple Pokémon ex, as seen in previous sets like Fusion Strike and Hidden Fates. These Battle Academy cards are set for release in our English Battle Academy in June.
