TPCi has officially unveiled Temporal Forces, the fifth set in the Scarlet & Violet series. Initial information about the set surfaced in November, revealing its reintroduction of ACE SPEC cards to the TCG.
As previously mentioned, Temporal Forces is scheduled for release on March 22nd, with prereleases set to occur from March 9th to 17th.
The set boasts:
- Over 160 cards
- Six ACE SPEC Trainers and one ACE SPEC Special Energy
- 13 Pokémon ex and two Tera Pokémon ex
- 22 illustration rare Pokémon
- 10 special illustration rare Pokémon and Supporter cards
- Six hyper rare gold etched cards
- More new Ancient and Future Pokémon
The set description reads as follows:
The ranks of Ancient and Future Pokémon continue to expand, featuring newcomers like Walking Wake ex and Raging Bolt ex. Iron Leaves ex delivers high-tech justice alongside Iron Crown ex. Beyond Area Zero, Wugtrio and Farigiraf transform types as Tera Pokémon ex, while Pokémon Trainers anticipate the return of ACE SPEC cards with uniquely potent effects. A temporal rift brings wild beasts and cyber visions into battle in the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Temporal Forces expansion!
Wugtrio ex and Farigiraf ex are unveiled for the first time, yet to be revealed in Japan.
While Prime Catcher, Master Ball, Neo Upper Energy, and Hero’s Cape have been disclosed in Japan, three ACE SPEC cards remain unrevealed. ACE SPEC cards, known for their formidable effects, are limited to one per deck.
Contrary to expectations based on the number of cards and Pokémon ex in the set description, it seems that our set will not include cards from Crimson Haze. Although not announced in Japan, it is confirmed that the set will feature Pokémon from The Teal Mask.
Traditionally, a new set is released in February, but the debut of January’s special Paldean Fates has pushed SV5's release to March. However, the schedule is expected to return to normal with the SV6 set in May.
As indicated earlier, Temporal Forces draws inspiration from Japan’s Wild Force & Cyber Judge, dual sets set to launch on January 26th. Accompanying them are two “Starter Deck & Build Sets” featuring new Koraidon ex (Ancient) and Miraidon ex (Future), both to be integrated into our set.
